About the Program

Honoring a Legacy of Excellence

The Sampson Obot Memorial Scholarship (SOMS) Program was established to honor the memory and legacy of Chief Sampson Simon Obot, a distinguished leader who believed deeply in the transformative power of education.

Chief Obot dedicated his life to community service, leadership, and the advancement of educational opportunities for young people. This scholarship program continues his vision by providing financial support to deserving students from his community.

Through SOMS, we seek to identify and nurture the next generation of leaders who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership potential, and a commitment to community service.

Our Mission

To empower exceptional students from Community Secondary School, Idung Iniang, by providing financial support for higher education, fostering leadership development, and encouraging a lifelong commitment to community service in honor of Chief Sampson Simon Obot's legacy.

Graduate Status

Students must be indigenes of Idung Iniang, located in Eket Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.
